The Danish Health Technology Council

Is it just a cost-cutting exercise?
In the beginning of 2021, the board of the Danish Regions established the Danish Health Technology Council. The purpose of this new council is to evaluate whether the costs of a treatment or technology in the Danish healthcare system are commensurate with the effects for the patients. On 12 March 2021 we will discuss the intention of the new Danish Health Technology Council, together with a strong panel of experts, and question whether it is just cost-cutting exercise.

It is a pleasure to be able to present the chairman of the Danish Health Technology Council, Michael Dall, and the CEO, Malene Møller Nielsen, who will explain the Danish Health Technology Council's purpose and process, while Member of the Parliament and regional council member in the Capital Region, Martin Geertsen, will focus on the political perspectives from a country and regional political angle, until Head of Governmental Affairs in Medtech Denmark, Emil Lobe Suenson, presents the industry expectations of the Danish Health Technology Council’s evaluations.
