Exploring gender diversity in clinical trials and in the innovation environment
Description
What is the current status of gender diversity within the clinical research landscape?
You and your colleagues are cordially invited to an insightful event on January 15, 2025, focusing on gender diversity in clinical research.
Before any new medicine can be marketed, it must receive approval from the Danish Medicines Agency. This process requires that new treatments undergo clinical trials with a representative sample of the population. However, there is a pressing need for deeper insights to ensure that medical research effectively addresses gender differences in practice.
Since September 2024, the Danish Health Authority and the Danish Medicines Agency have initiated an interdisciplinary project with the objective of assessing the representation of women and men in clinical research concerning diseases that impact both genders.
Join us and be the first to hear from Thea Otte Andersen and Jakob Wested who will present the findings of this pivotal interdisciplinary project.
In the second part of the programme, Sanne Bruun Jensen, Senior Associate in Venture Creations at BioInnovation Institute will give insights as to why diversity in clinical trials matters.
This meeting is free of charge and open to all interested parties.
Please be advised that the meeting will be conducted in Danish.
